Galicia is one of Spain’s most popular regions with tourists, with some of the most incredible natural scenery in the country. So it’s no surprise that there are plenty of campsites where you can stay to explore the area and spend a few very pleasant days or weeks.
You’ll find some with direct access to the beach, some with a pool and even some where you can rent bungalows if you need to. In this article we cover every budget, from the cheapest to a few that aren’t quite so cheap.

Booking.comCamping Playa América is in the Rías Baixas, in the municipality of Nigrán, in the province of Pontevedra in Galicia, on the long Playa América beach looking out to the Estelas Islands.
It’s a first-class campsite with several accommodation options (pitches for caravans or tents, bungalows…) and very well-kept communal areas. It has two outdoor pools, a children’s pool and a large one. There are also barbecue areas and green spaces where families can relax and enjoy a few quiet days in the area.

Camping Los Manzanos

Booking.comCamping Los Manzanos is in the municipality of Oleiros, in A Coruña. Santa Cruz beach, with its stunning views over the bay, is very close by.
The campsite has wooden and stone bungalows with a very rustic, traditional look. Facilities include an outdoor pool for a dip and a restaurant serving the best of the area’s traditional food.
Something we really like is its open camping area: a large green meadow where you can enjoy your tent.

Camping Punta Batuda
Close to towns with really attractive old quarters such as Noia and Muros, Camping Punta Batuda is ideal for getting to know the beaches sheltered by Monte Louro first-hand. You can rent a pitch or a comfortable bungalow sleeping 4 or 6 people.
In the communal areas you’ll find a swimming pool, a tennis court, a football pitch and even a mini golf course. It’s an ideal campsite for families with children, as it offers leisure activities with specialist instructors for the little ones. Adults can also enjoy barbecues and live music during their stay.

Camping Bayona Playa

Booking.comNext up is one of our favourite campsites in Galicia, and even in Spain: Camping Bayona Playa. Baiona is one of the Galician towns with the most charming spots.
This campsite, very close to A Ladeira beach, has lots of pitches for tents and motorhomes, as well as bungalows. Its facilities are very complete and include a supermarket, restaurant, sports courts and a pool with a slide. You’ll even find a fishing area if you fancy trying it.
Highly recommended, without a doubt, for its incredible offers throughout the year and because it’s considered a top-end campsite.

Camping Paisaxe II
To finish, let’s talk about another incredible campsite.
This campsite is on the O Grove peninsula, next to beaches such as Mexilloeira and Barraeriño. It offers fully equipped pitches and bungalows. It’s one of the campsites with the most activities in Galicia, with a swimming pool, barbecue area, restaurant, sports courts and even two outdoor jacuzzis, perfect for a relaxing soak.
